Brex uses connected bank accounts as one of the factors to determine your company’s credit limit. Brex Admins can connect additional bank accounts, remove or fix a current connection, and verify which accounts are currently connected, all from the Brex dashboard.
Add new bank connections
Because Brex uses the total cash balance as one of the factors when determining a limit, connecting additional bank connections is one way to positively impact your credit limit.
To add an additional bank account, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
Step 2: Select Company
Step 3: Scroll down to Bank Connections
Step 4: Select Add Connection
Remove bank connections
Remember that your Brex credit limit is determined in part by the cash balance in the connected bank accounts to Brex. Removing a connection without adding another one could have a negative impact on your credit limit.
To remove a connection, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
Step 2: Select Company
Step 3: Scroll down to Bank Connections
Step 4: Find the account you would like to disconnect
Step 5: Select the three dot icon on the right
Step 6: Then select Remove Connection
View connected bank accounts
Because Brex connects to your bank via your online login credentials, multiple bank accounts may be related to one connection. You can view the names and the last four digits of the account numbers of each one.
To see your connected bank accounts, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
Step 2: Select Company
Step 3: Scroll down to Bank Connections
Step 4: Select the three dot icon on the right
Step 5: Then select View All Accounts
Fix a current connection
There are a variety of reasons why you might need to reconnect a bank connection. A few examples include your credentials have recently changed, your bank logged you out for security reasons, or there are a limited number of devices that can be connected at a time. If one of your connections has gone stale or completely disconnected, you will see the option to fix the connection on your Brex dashboard.
To fix your bank connection follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
Step 2: Select Company
Step 3: Scroll down to Bank Connections
Step 4: Select Fix Connection under the account that needs to be reconnected
Step 5: This will then open a pop up window that will allow you to reconnect your bank account
Important Note: If at any time you receive an email from Brex stating that your connection between your business bank account and Brex was recently lost, you should check if there is a "Fix connection" link on the bank connection to fix the connection. If there is no "Fix connection" link, check the last sync date on the connections to see if the connection has synced in the previous week. If the last sync date is greater than a week ago, you'll need to delete the connection and re-add the connection
