How do I attach receipts to transactions in the mobile app?

Each time you transact with your physical Brex card at a terminal, you will receive a push notification from the Brex mobile app prompting you to take a photo of the receipt and attach it to the transaction. The photo of this receipt is then automatically matched to the relevant transaction and stored in your Brex dashboard.

If you are not automatically prompted, you can follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Brex app.

Step 2: Find the transaction you are looking for and either swipe left or tap the transaction.

Step 3: Tap the add receipt icon.

Here, you will have two options:
  1. Take a photo of a receipt using the camera that automatically opens.
  2. Attach a previous photo by clicking on the gray square in the bottom right corner.
To remove a receipt, tap the X in the upper left corner of the attached receipt.

Note: Receipts may not upload if you lock your phone right after submitting a receipt. Please wait until a receipt is completely uploaded before locking your phone or navigating out of the Brex app.
