Both admins and users can replace a card from the Brex dashboard. Admins can also replace cards on behalf of users without contacting Brex Support.
Note: Replacing your existing card will terminate it.
To replace a card, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Under Card, click Manage cards.
If you're an admin looking for one of your user's cards, go to the All cards tab and search for the user's name. Select the desired card and click Replace.
Step 2: Click the three dots below the card and select Replace.
Step 3: You'll then be given a summary of merchants that may be using that card for recurring charges so you can update the card on file for those merchants.
Important: Brex will not automatically transfer the reoccurring charges, you will need to update your card details wherever they are being used.
Step 4: For physical cards, provide a shipping address.
Step 5: Verify your preferred shipping address (for physical cards) or provide the last 4 digits of your new card (for virtual cards).
Important: When replacing a virtual card, the new card credentials will immediately replace the existing virtual card on the dashboard. If you click into the virtual card, you should see a brand new card number, expiration date, and CVV.
The affected user will receive an email confirmation regarding the replacement card.
