There are various reasons why a payment to Brex may fail:
Not Authorized - This occurs when Brex is restricted by a bank account.
Insufficient Funds - This occurs when the payment amount is greater than the aggregate cash balance in the bank account that payment is being pulled from.
Solution: Ensure that the funds in the bank account from which payment is being pulled from is equivalent or greater than the payment amount.
Account Not Found - This occurs when a routing number matches the bank but the account number is incorrect for the financial institution.
Account Closed - The bank account was closed and no account in that financial institution can be utilized anymore.
Once the reason for the failed payment has been identified and the solution has been implemented, the payment will need to be re-initiated again. Your credit limit will be updated once the payment has cleared successfully.
